The aviation industry has come a long way since the Wright brothers first took flight. Advancements in technology have brought aviation to a whole new level. Despite such advancements, there are still new technologies being created and imagined by inventors.
NASA's Langley Research Center and the National Institute of Aerospace will be sponsoring a three-day forum where experts will come together to discuss what lies ahead for the aviation industry.
"The goal of Aviation Unleashed is to spark conversation and collaboration about what's possible in aviation, given changes in society and advancements in technology," says Langley Aeronautics Research Directorate deputy director David Hinton. "We have invited experts from private industry, government agencies and universities to share their visions of the future so we can work together to transform our aviation system to accommodate new flying vehicles, manned and unmanned."
Main topics will include tele-technolgy, new aircraft materials and other emerging technologies. Advancements in technology could further revolutionize the aviation industry, making flights faster and safer for pilots and their passengers.
