Big changes could be coming to the aviation industry in the U.S. The Transportation Board recently received 23 recommendations to help make a stronger and more creative environment.
Committee members represented those from airlines, airports, academia and environmental sectors. All were able to make suggestions based on their areas of expertise.
The advice presented to Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood included offering better training for those entering the industry, improved environmental standards and enhanced safety regulations.
"This committee has provided a valuable service to all members of the aviation community with this blueprint for the industry," says LaHood. "As we move forward, these recommendations will provide valuable guidance for making the world's greatest aviation system even greater."
Recently, a similar meeting was held in Alaska with local aviation community members. That discussion also covered a number of the same issues along with a plan to achieve new goals moving forward.
Safety is a common concern amongst pilots and industry professionals alike. Professionals can help protect themselves with term life insurance for pilots for at least the time period they are flying on a regular basis.
