Comparison tools make it easier to research aircraft

There was a time when purchasing a new aircraft meant hours of research. Thanks to some new technology, pilots don't have to waste their time scouring the internet for information.
Pilots in the market to buy a new jet or the like can use a computer program which allows them to compare aircraft.
Conklin and de Decker's Aircraft Performance Comparator is one program that allows consumers to use a database of aircraft to compare products and determine which one meets their desired specifications.
Aviation information is presented with charts and detailed definitions with the program.
"The Aircraft Performance Comparator is a great tool for dealers and brokers or anyone going through the aircraft acquisition process," says president and co-founder of Conklin and de Decker Bill de Decker. "It is even more important today that aircraft buyers have the most current and comprehensive data before deciding which new or pre-owned aircraft is right for them."
As with any other major purchase, pilots should thoroughly research the product before buying it. Just like with a used car, a pre-owned airplane needs to be seen by a professional to ensure it's functioning properly.
