Even for the most seasoned pilots, there can be room for improvement, according to Flying Magazine. The magazine has listed 15 ways for pilots to continue to improve their flying in order to become the best pilot they can be.
The number one method for improvement is flying with someone who they consider to be a better pilot than them. Author Tom Benenson suggests that this is essential for observing the skills of the best pilots and learning new strategies that can then be applied to their own flying. "I'm not suggesting you only fly with pilots who are better than you are," Beneneson says, "but when you do fly with other pilots, pay attention to how they handle themselves and their airplane."
Some other recommendations from the magazine were practicing flight patterns, working on precision, periodically refreshing themselves on basic maneuvers and continuing their education through courses and extensive training materials.
Though it is essential for pilots to continue to learn and grow in order to become knowledgeable and safe pilots, certain hazards they may encounter in flight will be unexpected or beyond their control. Life insurance for pilots is an important investment and can help provide for a pilot's family should something happen to them while in flight.
