A special deal awaits U.S. veterans. Upper Limit Aviation flight school is offering free tuition to those who have served in the military.
Enrollee can also take advantage of the school's partnership with Salt Lake Community College to earn an associate degree or certificate.
School director Lois Reid says she is glad the program has come to fruition.
"We've worked hard to bring this program to ULA," says Reid. "We finally have the chance to offer America's veterans the chance to train for a career in aviation at virtually no cost to them."
The school says it offers other discounts for those who don't qualify for the free tuition. Many people do not follow their desire to learn how to fly because of costs.
Owning or renting an aircraft can be expensive. Furthermore, expenses associated with obtaining proper certification can also add up. Life insurance for pilots is another financial instrument potential flyers need to keep in mind.
Those who do not qualify for a program such as the one offered to veterans, still have other cost-saving options. Many schools and associations offer scholarships for aspiring pilots
